I'm very happy to announce that our new little guy has a name! Joel spent the last week finishing the baby's room and we bought, painted, and hung the letters for the baby's name, so it is official.
His name will be Gabriel Adam Cutter!
There is a glider/rocker in the corner where you see the bouncer, but other than that, the room is as you see it here. The only thing left to do is fill up the drawers with towels and blankets! Thanks to our abundance of nephews, we have more clothes than will fit in his dresser, but we are without some of the other neccesities. I have a big baby shower next weekend, so that will probably take care of our current shortages!!
Friday was my last day of work, and last Wednesday was my 25th Birthday, so the wonderful people that I work with threw me (and Joel) a baby shower/birthday party. They all pitched in to provide a potluck of salads and baked potatoes and we recieved some very nice gifts. My mom and Joel were able to come and enjoy the party as well. It was very nice!!
We also had another appointment with Merrie. We are seeing her every week now. All is well .... and big! I am measuring ahead of schedule as usual, but the baby is in good health. He has a healthy heartbeat and responds well to all poking and prodding! Merrie said that he feels like he is a good size (not sure what that means ... not sure I want to know) and that I have a lot of fluid in there. She assures me that everything that I am experiencing is very normal for this stage of pregnancy. I continue to have really strong Braxton-Hicks. Sometimes they are actual contractions, and lately the contractions have been more frequent. Nothing regular or too terrible, but still uncomfortable. We are going to have our official home visit this Thursday. Merrie will come with her assistant and make sure that we have everything we need and that they know where everything is for the birth. My mom is also coming so that everyone can meet everyone and everyone knows what will happen at the birth. I will be 37 weeks on Thursday and that will make me officially full-term. He could come at any point after that!!!!! I hope he comes VERY soon! I'm over the pregnancy thing now :)
On a final note, Isabel was so excited about all the painting that was going on, that we decided to give her the purple room she has been wanting. Joel took time off from his R&R to paint Isabel's room last weekend. It is GORGEOUS and she loves it. She has to touch her walls every night before bed. It's very cute!
There are a few finishing touches that need to be done, but other than that her room is complete!!! We will be putting her name on the wall (in lime green) and hanging a decorative-mosquito-net-thing abover her bed (in lime green).Ok, well I think that about covers the happenings in the Cutter household for now. Check back later this week for a story and pictures about Joel and Magen's weekend getaway to Denver.
