Gabe's Latest Trick

This morning we were watching TV and drinking our coffee when we realized that it was awfully quiet in the house. Isabel was in the living room playing with her babies, but where was Gabe? Suddenly Joel jumped up and ran over to the back door. Our little Gabe was outside on the back porch enjoying the fresh morning air. How did he get outside you ask? Like this .......

Also, yesterday at Grannie and Grandpa's he managed to wiggle his way between the slats on the stairs and we found him sitting on top of the 5 ft Barbie house. Ah...Good times!

First Snow

The other night as I was going to bed I noticed something white on the lawn in the backyard. I turned the porch light on to get a better look and this is what I found.

1st Haircut

Lately we have been noticing that Gabe's hair is getting really long over his ears. He has curly hair and the curls above his ears are especially hard to tame. Also, for some reason the hair over his ears is a lot longer than the rest of the hair on his head. Joel has been bugging me for weeks to cut Gabe's hair, but I have been hesitant to cut the curls off. They are so cute and what if I cut them off and then the hair that grows back is not curly anymore. Well, Joel finally wore me down and last Thursday I went ahead and let Joel's mom cut the curls off. He looks like such a big boy now and it appears as though the curls will grow back!!!

Sorry our page is in disarray. I am working on finding a new background and redecoraring things. I'll keep putting new posts on, but it might not be as pretty as it has been in the past! I'm going to try to fix things up as quickly as possible.

I've had a lot of these moments lately. This afternoon, I put Gabriel in the high chair with some peas so that I could do the dishes. He ate quietly for quite a while, and when I turned around to check on him this is what I found .....

1st Annual Apple Picking Party

As many of you know, we have an apple tree in our front yard. When we moved into this house, we were unaware that it was a fruit producing tree. That first year it did not produce anything. Last year, it blossomed beautifully in the spring and I spent the entire summer keeping the neighborhood kids out of our yard and away from our apples. We were completely unprepared for an apple crop and we had so many that we ended up throwing several bags away because we couldn't eat them before they went bad. So, we decided that this year we would invite all of our family over to help us pick the apples and then they could each take what they wanted and no one would have more apples than they could handle. So, last weekend we invited the whole family over for apple picking and an apple themed meal. We had a fabulous time and everyone went away with a ton of apples! See you all next year!!!
