2 Months!

I have been a very bad blogger this month. I'm very sorry that I have not been putting recent pictures on and letting you all know how things are going. I'm going to try to get better. I think as Gabe gets older I will have more free time!!

Unfortunately, the highlight of our month was the cold that never ended. Isabel picked up a cold about 3 of 4 weeks ago and it passed through our entire household through the course of about 2 weeks. Even little Gabe got a touch of it :( Just when we thought it was over, it showed up again. This time Isabel ended up with an ear infection and Gabe slept for 2 days straight trying to fight it off. Joel even got it again, and he has a HORRIBLE (and irritating) cough. I think we are all on the mend now .. just in time for Thanksgiving. Hopefully it is really gone this time.

Gabriel is getting so big! We have finished our care with Merrie and Gabe saw the pediatrician for the first time last week. He is 12 lbs!! The doctor was very impressed with how wonderful he looks and how strong he is. He was supposed to start immunizations too, but since he was not feeling well, we opted to wait until he was feeling better. I have to take him back next week :( I'm not looking forward to it. He is doing so many things now. He has mastered his smile. He has also learned to coo. He likes to lay in his crib and talk to the animals on his bumper. It is very cute! He is becoming more and more aware of things and is starting to enjoy his toys. This gives me a little more free time because he will entertain himself for a bit longer. He was not a big fan of the swing, but Joel's sister, Angela, has a swing that rocks side to side like a cradle and he LOVES that. Angela has an 8 month old who loves the swing, no matter which direction it swings in, so she was kind enough to switch swings with me. That swing has become my saving grace! He sits in there for an hour sometimes just looking around and he will almost always go to sleep in it! I even put him in it one night when he wasn't sleeping well. It's a miracle worker. THANK YOU ANGELA!!!!!!!!! Gabriel has been sleeping really well pretty much since he was born. I usually only have to get up with him once or twice a night. We are really enjoying him and loving seeing all of his accomplishments.

Isabel is also doing very well. She turned 3 on November 5. We had a My Little Pony birthday party with all of our family. She had a blast!! Isabel went to see the pediatrician too and she is doing very well. She even got to stand on the big scale and have her blood pressure taken for the first time. She is looking forward to Christmas and is asking for a tent and a Barbie.

I have also done poorly on picture taking this month. I'll try and do better next month, but here are the few pictures I did take this month.
