A White Christmas

Another Christmas has come and gone and we all made out like bandits again!! Our festivities started off on Monday morning. Joel, the kids and I packed up and headed to my parents' house around 11:00. We all ate lunch together and then we put the kids down for a nap. About 20 minutes after she layed down, Isabel informed Joel that she had taken a good nap and she wanted to get up. Apparently she was too excited to sleep. While the kids were "napping", Druh headed out to buy a few last minute items and Mady and I locked ourselves in his room to wrap the presents that he had already purchased. Ah, the life of a bachelor! Around 4:00 we brought out our traditional spread of snacks including chips, salsa, guacamole, cheese, crackers, lil' smokies, and chicken wings. After our snacks we settled in for hours of present opening!!! We had a great time giving and opening presents. I think we were finally done around 7:30. It is our tradition to spend the night at the Palma's on Christmas Eve, so we began getting ready for bed right after presents. An hour later the kids were sound asleep and us adults were downstairs playing with all of our new toys! On Christmas morning we woke up to SNOW!!!! Santa had stockings and lots of presents waiting for us when we got downstairs. We all had a great time and Gabe slept through the whole thing!! (Woohoo) We spent the rest of the day enjoying each other and our new things. At 4:00 we sat down to enjoy the yummy ham dinner mom had spent the day preparing and then we headed home around 6:30. It was a Merry Christmas!

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

Megan! I just found your blog (because of Facebook of course) and I think it is so cute! I've been reading it instead of working. :) Anyway, I just thought I would let you know that it brought me some enjoyment this afternoon. Have a good day!

And I just realized that I spelled your name wrong. I'm an idiot. Please forgive.
