Another Update

I know, I know. Another month has gone by and my postings have been few and far between. Well, I've finally set aside the time to update you all on our fascinating life!

One of the main reasons for my lack of blogging recently is that Gabe has not been sleeping well. I usually blog once the kids are in bed, but since Gabe has not been going to bed without a fight, I have been too tired to write anything. Things appear to be getting back to normal (knock on wood) so here I am!!! We have had a pretty busy month. Joel spent a long weekend in Utah with Druh, and the kids and I moved in with my parents for 4 days. It was a busy weekend, but lots of fun being back "home". Joel and Druh had a good time exploring the many wonders of Utah, including skiing. When Joel came home two days later, he was still sore from his day on the slopes. We will see Druh again in the middle of April when he comes home for a visit.

Gabe is getting big and more mobile. He is pretty much sitting up by himself and is rolling all over the place. He can make it from one side of a room to the other in just a few minutes. He continues to do well with eating solids. He has moved on from cereal to sweet potatoes, apples, peaches, and carrots. We still have a few more things to try, but he has loved everything so far and gets very excited when we put him in the high chair and he sees a container with food in it!! He is also learning to drink from a sippy cup! He is really liking water and has almost learned to hold the cup by himself .. he doesn't know to tip the cup to get the water out. He has his 6 month check up on the 23rd so we will get to see how much he weighs! My guess is somewhere around 17 or 18 pounds. He's such a rolly polly little guy!!!

Isabel is a great big sister. She loves to play with Gabe and he thinks she is hilarious. No one makes him laugh like she does. I haven't been able to spend as much one on one time with Isabel as I'd like due the the fact that Gabe still requires a lot of attention. She never complains, but as a mother I am ridden with guilt. So, the two of us are going to Disney on Ice's Finding Nemo in April. It is one of her favorite movies so I am hoping she will enjoy it.

That is about it for now. We have a busy April, so I should have plenty to write about in the coming weeks.
