As many of you know, we have an apple tree in our front yard. When we moved into this house, we were unaware that it was a fruit producing tree. That first year it did not produce anything. Last year, it blossomed beautifully in the spring and I spent the entire summer keeping the neighborhood kids out of our yard and away from our apples. We were completely unprepared for an apple crop and we had so many that we ended up throwing several bags away because we couldn't eat them before they went bad. So, we decided that this year we would invite all of our family over to help us pick the apples and then they could each take what they wanted and no one would have more apples than they could handle. So, last weekend we invited the whole family over for apple picking and an apple themed meal. We had a fabulous time and everyone went away with a ton of apples! See you all next year!!!
