The 8th Night of Chanukah

We spent the 8th night of Chanukah at Joel's parents house all together as a family. We spent the whole day hanging out and then spent the night that night before getting up in the morning to open more presents. The kids are getting older now so we decided to try a big kid sleep over and see how they did. We set up two matresses in front of the big screen and rolled out sleeping bags for the 4 oldest kids. Joel's mom put in Pete's Dragon and opened a container of cheese balls and they watched the movie until they fell asleep. While the sleep over was happening the adults were upstairs playing games and enjoying some snacks of our own. Surprisingly, the big kids did a great job on the sleep over and all got a pretty good nights sleep!!! I think a new tradition has been born. The next morning we woke up, had breakfast, and met downstairs for the gift opening! As usual, there were loads of gifts and everyone had a great time! It is sad to see the holiday season come to a close, but I guess life can't be a party all the time!

(I'm not sure why, but some of the captions on the slide show are showing up on the wrong picture. Not sure how to fix it .. sorry about that)
