Well, we haven't done anything exciting in the last month or so, but I thought it was about time that I put some new pictures on here. I have nothing too exciting to report, but I can give you some highlights!
Isabel is 3 going on 25. She is becoming more and more outgoing and sassy. When we have company, she is very happy to take over all conversational resposibilities. Her biggest excitement this month has been Sunday school. Now that she is 3, she goes to an actual Sunday school class! We weren't sure how she was going to like it since she has been with us in church up until now, but we talked it up like nobody's business and she was so excited to go the first time. We checked on her a couple of times during her first week and she seemed to be doing fine and having fun. When I went to pick her up, she was crying, and when I asked her why she said they didn't have a snack. One of the things we told her about Sunday school was that they have a snack (who's ever heard of a preschool Sunday school class that didn't have snacks????), and she was really looking forward to that. So, we made a deal with her and told her that we would pack a special snack for her to eat after class each week. So, her second week came around and she was excited to go again. We dropped her off and checked on her a couple of times. She was crying almost the whole time that week and when I asked her why she said she thought Daddy was going to stay with her. She also said that they had a snack that week, but she told them she didn't want it because Mommy and Daddy had one for her when she got picked up. So, we'll hope the third time's a charm and she eventually grows to love Sunday school as much as we did when we were kids.
As for our little Gabe, he is growing like a weed. He is 4 1/2 months old now and he weighs over 15 lbs. He is a rolly little guy! He is a big cuddle bug and he loves his mama!!!!! The little stinker will not take a bottle, so when (and if) we go out we have a 2-3 hour window before we have to be back so he can eat again. He is rolling over from his tummy to his back and he can get onto his side from his back. He would love to be sitting up, but isn't quite strong enough yet. He is still the spitting image of his Daddy. To this day I don't think I've had a single person tell me that he looks like me. He has been sleeping through the night for awhile now and I am loving it!!! We are working on his naps .. as of right now they are pretty much non-existent. In the next couple of weeks we're going to start him on rice cereal. I think he might be in the early stages of teething, but I'm not entirely sure. More on that in the weeks to come!
