A New Do

This morning as I was doing Isabel's hair, she casually mentioned that she'd like to cut her hair short like mine. I was a little surprised to hear this since I have asked about cutting her hair before and she has always said she wanted to keep it long. I told her that if she'd like to cut it she could, but she didn't have to, and throughout the day she mentioned it several times. So, while Gabe was napping I took Isabel to the "beauty salon" to get her hair cut! She was a little nervous when she first sat in the chair (she's only ever had her hair trimmed by me, so she didn't know what to expect), but she soon became mezmerized by what she saw in the mirror and when it was all done, she couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't wait to come home and show Daddy and Gabe and she spent the rest of the night combing it and putting it into ponytails. I guess she thinks that now that it's shorter she should be able to do it herself!!!
