About a week ago, Joel's parents acquired two ponies. Yes, they are actual ponies ... Like the kind that are 3 feet tall when they are full grown! (Before I met Joel, I called baby horses ponies ... WHATEVER) Anyway, one of the ponies, Tony, is trained to be ridden and to pull a small cart. On Memorial Day the whole family went out to the Cutter plantation and had a BBQ and pony rides. The kids LOVE Tony as does Joel. He is the only one who knows how to drive the cart so he gets to ride all the time. Everyone else has to wait their turn. Tony is a bit out of shape so we try to limit the amount of weight he pulls, but when he's in better shape he should be able to pull two or three adults in the cart. This is going to be a very fun summer with pony rides galore!
