Chanukah 2010

Chanukah this year was a pretty low-key event for our family. For the last couple of years, as the kids have been getting older, we have been doing Christmas and Chanukah in our house. Unfortunately, this tradition was costing us a fortune! So, in an effort to save some money this year, we decided to only celebrate Christmas in our house ....although we still joined Joel's family for the big Chunkah celebration at his parent's house. I felt like this holiday season was so much less stressful and we did actually save quite a bit of money!
This year, Chanukah was the week after Thanksgiving, which made for a very hectic couple of weeks! As usual we all met out at Joel's parent's house for the weekend. The kids had a great time playing with all of their cousins, they got to decorate sugar cookies, we danced, we lit candles, the kids had their sleep over and movie with Savta, and we opened presents!
