On September 20 our little Gabe turned 3! We decided to forgo the party this year and, instead, we thought we'd do something special as a family. Gabe is a big train-man! He loves trains! It just so happened that Thomas the Train was going to be at the train museum in Golden, CO on the weekend of his birthday. So, we spent a small fortune and bought tickets to take a ride on Thomas the Train!!
On Gabe's actual birthday, we started the day out by opening Uncle Druh and Auntie Candice's present (they had sent it earlier in the week and we had been starting at it every since). It was a HUGE hit and has become one of Gabe's favorite toys!

And they included two boxes of Toy Story macaroni. Guess what we had for lunch that day??
And later that night he got to open more presents!!!

After trying out the new scooter, we came inside for some birthday dessert. We had Maggie Moo's Cotton Candy ice cream with sprinkles on it!! This too cost a small fortune, but what are birthdays for if not to splurge a little!
