So, when I was growing up, my dad used to take me to Dodger games at Dodger Stadium. We'd wear our Dodger shirts and our Dodger hats and we'd eat Dodger dogs and when we couldn't go to the games we'd watch them on TV. My childhood is filled with memories of the Dodgers. Once we moved to Colorado, we didn't go to baseball games very much anymore. Part of this was due to the fact that the Colorado Rockies were bran new when we moved here so they weren't exactly good and the other part was due to the fact that they weren't the Dodgers. We've been to a few games over the years .... most of them Rockies vs. Dodger games, and in the last couple of years we've tried to make a point of going once during the season to see the Dodgers play the Rockies. A couple of weeks ago I was on Facebook and I saw a post from an old friend from California who now lives in Colorado Springs. He too is a big Dodger fan and he had posted a comment about a deal for the Memorial Day game which just happened to be against the Dodgers ..... $49 for 4 tickets, 4 dogs, 4 drinks, a parking pass, & a Rockies magazine. What a deal!!!!! As soon as I read this I jumped on the phone to find out who was free to attend the game. Everyone was available, so I made the call, bought the tickets and off we went today! We were a little worried on the drive up to Denver since it was pouring the whole way, but once we parked our car and walked to the stadium it had stopped raining and it remained dry the rest of the time. We had a great time watching the game and even got to see our good friends, the Zietlows! AND.... the Dodgers won 16-6!!! Can't wait for next time!

Go Dodgers! They are playing down here in San Diego next week, but it is a bit too close to Van's due date. We'll just have to wait until they play the Padres again later in the season.
