A couple of weeks ago, Isabel's class hosted a Mother's Tea. We have all been looking forward to this for months! Isabel's class has been working on crafts and songs and gifts since February. For the last several months, whenever I asked her what she did at school she told me it was a surprise for the Mother's Tea. I was getting very curious about all these goodies that I was supposedly getting. So, that morning, Gabe went to work with Joel and I went to Isabel's school to have tea! It didn't go as well as it could have, but it was very cute and sweet and a great time to spent with Isabel. As the kids filed in, dressed as little fish, Isabel was already crying. She cried through the whole program until she finally went to sit with one of her teachers. When the program part of the morning was over, she recovered quickly and we ate chocolate covered strawberries and brownies together. I was presented with several little gifts including a flower pot that she had painted filled with "flowers" that had pictures of her and our family on them. What a treasure!! I can't wait for next year's tea!
